PRICING & DESCRIPTIONS
The prices seen on this web site are current and correct. Prices do not include postage or Value Added Tax (VAT). The total price you will be charged will be displayed on your screen before you confirm the order. This will be shown in Pounds Sterling and this is the total price you will pay. When ordering by phone you will be advised the total price you will be charged. We reserve the right to change prices without notice.
We have tried to ensure that the descriptions on this web site are correct, and comply with consumer protection from unfair trading regulations 2008. However, should any customer think that there is any misrepresentation whatsoever, will they please advise us so that the matter can be considered and if necessary amended on the web site
ORDERING IN THE UK & EEC COUNTRIES
VAT must be added to the goods and to the postage at the current UK rate. Once your order is placed and accepted the contract is governed by English Law.
Payment may be made by cheque, postal order, banker’s draft, Amex, Visa, Mastercard, Meastro or Solo. Cheques should be made payable to Retro Classic Car Parts Ltd. Please note when payment is made by cheque no goods will be despatched until payment is cleared.
Purchases will be made in pounds sterling. For overseas orders the exchange rates are determined by the banks or credit card providers which may make an additional processing charge for which you will be liable. You may have to pay import duty or other customs fees on entry to your country.
If more than 50% of the order is in stock it will be despatched within 48 hours, outstanding items will be despatched as soon as they come in to stock, if there are any problems in supplying the items ordered you will be notified straight away .. You may contact us at any time regarding delivery and we will advise our best estimated delivery date for the outstanding items on your order. We will not be liable for loss or damage through any delay in delivery. Some of our products may not be available for delivery outside the UK due to regulatory restrictions, or for practical reasons may have to be sent under special shipping arrangements at additional cost, if this is the case you will be notified straight away.
This paragraph applies to goods that have not been used and ordered by a private customer other than a business. Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 you have a statutory right to cancel your order, apart from non stock items ordered specifically for you or personalised for you, made to measure for you or containers of liquids, CDs and DVDs which you have unsealed. Under the Regulations you may cancel your order up to seven working days after the day on which you receive the goods. You must advise us of the cancellation by letter, fax or e-mail giving your name and address, account number and order reference number; you will then receive a full refund within 30 days. We ask that the goods are returned to us within 14 days of receipt, the packaging may be opened but the goods should not be used and must be in resalable condition. All returned goods must be accompanied by a copy of the sales invoice. We do not refund your cost of returning the goods to us unless they are incorrect or faulty or as otherwise specified by the Distance Selling Regulations.
Where clothing is found to be incorrect in size you may return it to be exchanged for another size. You are to pay for the cost of returning the item to us. We will then send the requested new size at our expense.
This paragraph applies to goods that have been used. All our products* are fully guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase. If any of our products develop a fault as a consequence of faulty workmanship or faulty materials within twelve months from the date of purchase, they may be returned to us with the original invoice, and a covering letter explaining the problem. On receipt of the returned goods, we will, at our discretion, replace or repair the item/s and return it/them to you. We do not refund your cost of returning the goods to us.
Any competition goods are supplied for specialist use. Once used in competition they will be subject to extreme stress and not covered by our guarantee. With any of these products we stand by the manufacturers guarantees and these items will be returned to the manufacturer for there consideration. It is acknowledged by the buyer of such goods that the foregoing statement shall be a relevant and important issue in any claim brought against the Company and the Company shall, in turn, place importance upon this clause. In addition, parts connected to parts supplied by this company may be placed under stress where specialist/competition parts are used, and purchasers should take advice from experts prior to purchase. Manufacturers may also limit guarantees when components are installed for competition use.
Distributors are guaranteed for a period of 12 months from invoice date, regardless of mileage. Claims of a fault after this period due to the vehicle only covering a few miles or the item being stored and not fitted will not be honoured.
Save for liability which would be unlawful to exclude, our obligation to refund the purchase price or replace the product shall constitute the full extent of our liability in respect of any loss or damage sustained by the customer whether caused by a breach of contract or by misrepresentation.
